This is kind of a silly question but why are there so few Hystrix for sale? I was thinking about getting a few Hystrix to start a ray tank. I'd love to get Motoros but don't have a big enough tank for them for life.

Are Motoros more colorful or easier to care for?

Thanks.

If you are serious about getting Hystrix, here is a link to some nice ones
for sale.

You probably should do some research before getting any rays.
Motoros are considered an easier more stout ray that is good for beginners.
But most peeps don't take into consideration how large they get. As for
as coloring...well there are so many variations of Motoro that some are more
colored or better patterned. Some not.

The ban explains why there aren't many hystrix around. I'd like to get the Motoro because of its hardiness but can't get a 8.5 foot tank in my basement!

Thanks for your advice.

Theres really no hardy or not hardy, a ray is a ray, they all require clean water and good food, not that complicated.
