Has anyone ever seen this or is it possible? thoughts opinions...I have a male hystrix and am having a hard time finding females for a decent price, I have access to some retics at a great price so I'm about to cave and go that route. Any thoughts?

I read many of her posts, she was very successful at breeding retics (only one I've known that had done it). If she could not make it work, im pretty doubtful it its a viable mix.

it was the first try with them and the mom i believe absorbed them back into herself. it can happen if the ray endures stress while pregnant. i would love to see them try again. shout out for grape! 
Yes I was able to breed the retic and the hystrix it was a still born litter of pups but for sure hystrix mis as they looked nothing like the litters of retics she had previously given us. We had an issue with heating the tan and think it may have let to the still birth but not sure we are hoping she becoes pregnant but as of yet nothing. I am honestly in no hurry I am still as shocked as everybody else that my rays are fully mature, healthy, happy and breeding. I really only got into the hobby with the rays because I loved them I was thrilled with the progression they have made and I still love them more with each day.
