I personally would just move the cichlids to another tank...barring you have another tank. I have a hystrix in a 120 with a 60 x 18 footprint that I plan on keeping there for a couple years. I also have a male in a larger tank that I plan on moving to the smaller tank to keep her company. Fish like these should be the centerpiece of an aquascape and other fish should compliment them. They need to be the show piece of the tank...especially if its only a 120.

dont know what the dollar value works out too but that seems odd to me,
