Hystrix stingray in a 120Gal tank . . . Yes or No ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Rays and aros are a common combination. I would search the threads to get more information on ray tank mates, combinations, etc. There is a wealth of information already here on MFK...You just need to search the threads. Many of these questions have already been answered.

Just FYI, I have two female true histrix that are a solid 14" they can get big and 4x2 would be very cramped.

I am likewise interested in ascertaining the time-frame in which they got to be that size...

I think ill just forget about getting a Ray or 2 . Had a search and every thread i have read says they need more than a 4X2 footprint .

From what i can work out from all the threads i could get 1 but would have to put it in the pond i am building , soon after me buying the Ray . As i am not 100% sure when i am going to get the pond done i dont want to risk it .

Any other bottom Dwelling fish i could get for the tank ?

Maybe look for a bigger tank/pond ect...? They are amazing to keep! imo

I am making a pond ( just not sure when it will be done so i dont want to risk getting one right this minute maybe later on in the year for the pond ) . I am wanting Bottom Dwelling fish to go in the tank and not out grow the tank ( i tought a Ray would be ok , i guess not ) .

Bigger tank - i havnt got the room in the house for one ( Reason im making a pond in a shed ) .
