Hystrix tankmates ?

I've kept dorado with rays before and although it's a great looking combo it's also somewhat tense one. Dorados get very aggressive when they reach about 14".

How many Hystrix rays could I fit in one setup 1 male and 2 females in a 300gal. I really think I will move the dorado already and get the rays mixed with some type of small gars

I also wanted to know what is the smallest tank 1 Hystrix ray could live in?

U can easily house Hystrix in a 185G for life
U need good tank width to support the ray..
Fair amount of length.. And with ur current tank..
U can easily house 3 pairs of adults..

Oh ok thanks everybody. I will continue to do research on them and hopefully get a male and a female I have a 180 gallon and 4 125 gals. I wish I could have rays in my empty 125gal. But I guess not, I will just have to move the dorado to the 400gal and put gars and Hystrix in the 300gal
