I Almost Killed My Bichirs

I am so glad I put in insulation in the re-model. I dont even need a heater. but I still use one to keep the water +80*.

Dam, 55* is pretty darn cold. I didnt think about it till now

I know 55F is cold. Temperature like this is enough to freeze my huevos. Insulation definitely does help and I hope you got good seals on your windows. That's an upgrade I need to do in the future.

So, you forgot to plug back the filter, what does it do with your tank temp at 55F?

Uncovered tank and room temp dipping to 59 at times. It has been really cold the past 3 nights. Even the kelberi survived! The most amazing part is no ich on the clown loach.

But what does unplugged filter has anything to do with it? Does filter heat up the tank water?

glad their ok! during the summer my tanks temp was between 87-91F all week.. everyone was fine.. thank god.. but 55 wow..

You know what I meant. I meant I unplugged the heater during a waterchange and forgot to plug it in. Stop doing analysis of my sentences. If you enjoy analyzing things you should become a system ANALyzst or psychologist.
