I just recieved 2, 2-3" RTC'S,1 of them is semi Albino(it has a lot of white over its head and back)the other 1 is normal.They were shipped over nite and it was pretty cold here last night.What i am worried about is they both seem to have gill curl is this deadly??Can i repair this??The light colored 1 ate like a pig(shrimp)while the other took a piece in but spite it out.Any help is really appreciated!!!:eek:
 
Once they get acclimated, if it's beginning stages of gill curl, there is a technique for getting rid of it. It doesn't always work and sometimes surgery is needed. I'll try and look up the thread where they were it was discussed..

Do you know if they had gill curl before you bought them?
 
It's not life threatening. The cause of it can be life threatening (dirty water and lack of Oxygen). But the end result being gill curl is not. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
 
Also, you might have better luck with this thread if you move it to the disease and illness forum. PM a mod.

Also, on a side note, The place where you got your fish is the only place on the internet I refuse to buy fish from...
If you happen to talk to Pedro later about your fish, tell him that the guy he sold a $15 flowerhorn to as a $125 SRT said hi.
And that every time I see or hear anyone even utter his company, I tell them whatsup.

I respect that,i got a pretty good deal on these 2 cats,$15.00 apiece,plus $32.00 for shipping,i cant buy 1 of these cats here for that price.I really appreciate your help,you a good man.:headbang2
