If you are doing the best you can and the fish are fine for now what else can you do? Just take the best care of them you can in their "small" enclosure, if you really feel like you can't keep them than you can give them away. It's only temporary, at least you are genuinely concerned about them , thats good!

The 3 feet tank is here!
It's 3 feet in length by 1 and a half feet in width. I don't know why the tank looks bigger than I expected though, my Climbing Perch, Florida Gar and Bichir look tiny in there and ARE SURE HAPPY!
My Florida Gar is happy crusing around, my Bichir is relaxing at the bottom after a long ass tank preparation and my Climbing Perch is shy and hesitating, he'll be alright.
