I really think i will be leaving this MFK .. there is just too much reality going on here that instead of making me feel good about the things i read i feel kind of out of place and sad..just read all those posts about the guy who killed and ate his red devils.. i found no humor in it and actually pretty disturbing... not that we as a population do not eat fish but that it was displayed on Monster Fish Keepers as something totally accepted and funny and entertaining.. maybe i am the oddball but we are fish keepers .. this to me is not what i want to see... and so many of you seemed like you were all enjoying that this guy who had no feelings or attachment to the fish he kept.. seeing his face with a red devil at the end of his fork is not my idea of good fish keeping... i could choose to ignore it but i really feel i don't belong here if i have to accept things that i feel should not be here in the first place.. going to miss all the good guys and girls i have met and wish you all the best..believe me some of you are just the best.. to me this just is not right to portray on a magnificient forum that teaches us all about good fishkeeping.

no liz, just dont take anything personal. keep venting it out, it will make you feel better but dont leave. mfk will crash without you!

i dont think the whole eating a pet fish is that bad. fish are eaten all the time. i think the real problem here is some of the higer up "people" that dont really take good care of their fish. These mods should be roll models and people should look up to them. I know one person i am thinking of always has a severly stocked and cramped, dirty, barebottom tanks and it seems like this individual thinks of fish as an object rather than a pet. thats what pisses me off.

As a public forum there is always going to be things that we don't like. All we can do is chose to ignore those things.

As a mod, it's tough to decide what stays and what goes. No matter what, we can't please everyone.

I'll be sorry to see you leave if you do Liz, but remember, a lot of the people that don't agree with that thread probably didn't post, mainly because of the "if you can't say anything nice" feeling.

I hope you decide to stick around.

Liz, like you told me a couple a months ago, don't let a few idiots ruin something you enjoy. Maybe take a break from it for a while. I have noticed alot of rude and stupid behavior on here recently but those people don't seem to last that long. This site needs active and enthusiastic members who are here for the betterment of the hobby, not just a bunch of immature jerks who are trying to impress someone. are you leaving????? but whyz? you have showed us countless happieness in the hobby and you have help people be set in the right path.This would be a sad loss for MFK so we need more people to help convince you not to leave.sure he was doing something completely wrong in my opinion also, but there are some people that can't be corrected,BUT there are more people need help from you and all the MFK staff. You in my opinion have been one of the greatest fish keepers in this forum and hobby. Like learning from your beauty of a pacu and all your fish. I don't think i can take that you'll leave
If you do leave, well it's all up to you we don't control your lve only you do.

i have noticed a lot of posts about things that have nothing to do with keeping fish. or even fish at all. over the past month or 2. I have kinda been feeling the same way its turned more to a social forum than a monster fish forum. I hope that things can change and get the site back to where it used to be. ill stick around a bit longer but things do need to change. if you do go you will be missed liz.
