what is a kamfa? are the names that fhs are called made up by specific breeders? is there an easy way to tell the difference?
Kamfa is a type of FH yes. Yes the names are from the breeders. No there is not an easy way to tell. FH now a days are getting tough to tell what exactly they have in them...

thanks. i just bought two pearly red 2.5-3 inh fhs for 5 bucks each. i got them from a local guy on mfk. i am happy with them and i am curious to see what they grow up to look like. i want to breed the male with my parrot to get that big fan tail.

Kamfa is one of the four major breeds of flowerhorns. Kamfa means 'Golden Flower'. Kamfas as a general rule have a large square body, big fanned tail, and inset eyes (color is usually white or yellow). Within the Kamfa breed there are many strains and types so the look varies accordingly.

Just keep hanging in the Hybrid section and listen to what these guys have to say. You'll eventually get it.

Top one has awesome blue pearling! Hopefully he grows with a nice rich blue! 2nd is nice too!
