He's in a 55 for now. I have a 90 that he will be moved to when he gets a little bigger.

Just got him eating cichlid gold pellets and krill.

@9" he is already too big for a 55... and will outgrow that 90 very soon. being an MFKer means needing a monster tank also. hes gonna need a 180+ sooner than you think. my 6" pair has a 240 all to themselves and the way they act is very natural and they seem much more comfortable than in smaller tanks even though they are still small.

From what I've seen from some research online a dovii is just as pissed in a 600g compared to a 90. I'm not going to keep him in a tiny tank. He will be moved to a 90 in due time, and after a year he will have his own 6 ft tank. A 9 inch fish is fine in a 55 for now.
