I am overstocked What about you ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Holy crap an rtc aswell loooooool now that's funny

Make that two RTCs.

So, what looks to be in that fish tank is 1 electric eel, 2 clown knives, 2 silver aros, 3 tiger oscars, 1 albino tiger oscar, 2-3 jaguars, 2 RTCs, 2 Midas, 1 unknown catfish, 4 tinfoil barbs, and 1 unknown fish in the upper hand corner of 2nd pic. Not to mention the fish [if any] that we cannot see.

So roughly 22 LARGE fish ALL in a 180g tank. :nilly:

You think your overstocked? Think again. (& for a little bit of humor, you see that midas cichlid in the right hand corner in the first pic? That midas chased all the other tankmates to the left side of the tank because he had fry in that pot and he was protecting them, LOL...I thought it was pretty funny)....oh and no offense if it was one of your guys's tanks because I think I got these pics off of this website awhile ago but I can't remember. :) 180g

In the summer of 2005, I came home to this:

pacu.jpg

Eight large fish in a 55 gallon tank--two pacu, four oscars and two large plecos. My husband picked up the tank and fish at a moving away yard sale. One oscar was already dying of HITH. Poor Leonardo's upper lip was totally smashed and bleeding from crashing into the tank walls. Once we learned about the nitrogen cycle, we had to do extreme water changes every day to keep the water parameters in check....we dumped out about 60 gallons, 15 gallons at a time. It took between 1 - 1.5 hours every day to vacuum the fish crap from the gravel. The 15" pacu had difficulty turning around in the 12" wide tank.

5 1/2 years ago, we moved six of the fish into a 300 gallon tank.

Only the pacu have survived the years of poor water quality that they were subjected to most of their lives. We noticed last week that one of our pacu turns around at a slight angle, and the tip of his tail brushes the tank wall--he has to be at least 26-28". Our 300 gallon tank is too small for our pacu. It will be only when our big system is set up and the pacu moved, that I be able to say we are not overstocked.

First off i must say that the picture with the racoon is so cool. I love it

2- I dont really feel overstocked anymore thanks to the pic of the 180g but i know i still am because i change 125g a day to keep my nitrate in check ( under 10ppm )

3- cant wait to see Pacu Mom's big tank looks impressive

Thank you for sharing

Yes dragracing motorcycles is a rush like no other, I have to admit, not to mention riding a turbo hayabusa is with in it self is a rush. I have seen some pretty nasty fights about money and racing as well. Somthing about drag racing and male igo are a nasty combination.

Right!!!...lol The worst thing I ever saw at a race was a guy wouldn't pay up on a $50 loss and he pulled out an airsoft gun(with the bright ass orange tip) and the guy he lost to stabbed him in the stomach with a freaking butterfly knife and walked away over $50 freaking bucks, somepeople are just flat out bug fu*k crazy!!...lol. Needless to say that was my last "Non Sanctioned" race...lol
