sagu is little balls of yuca flour that turn into transparent jelly balls when you cook it in hot water. It is essentially flavorless, so you can add whatever flavor you like to it. My favorite is peaches. Looks like frog eggs. I can't believe I am agreeing with jed on something

they are an optional addition to bubble tea. Sago is more popularly known as Tapioca due to the bubble tea popularity. The Tapioca they use in bubble tea is little black balls but they are the same thing just different color.

I don't have a favorite yet, I havent had bubble tea for a couple years. Very excited now! mmmmm that sounds good!
