my god i would be ashamed to post a pic of pacu like that especially tryin to sell it i mean its fins and tail are all ragedy lookin my pacu is about the same size a lil bigger and looks way better and i'll sell hime for 5 bucks which is what i paid...lol then i wouldnt have to feed his big ass anymore.

I find it hard to believe... In my neck of the woods there were stores that were having rubbermaid tubs with Pacu's being left at the door. Like a baby in a basket there would be a note saying "take good care of him". Our local zoo had drop offs like that quiet frequently. That and Oscars. I swear some store must have gotten a deal on pacus about 2-3 years ago cause everyone I knew seemed to have them.
