What do you think of this set up, I plan on keeping a single cichlid in it and run a xp4 off the overflow. It is for sale for $150.

It's a good clean slate to start with, I would do it. WHat "single" cichlid are you planning on?

The overflows are just PVC and bulkhead fittings. You could always just plug them up if you didn't want to hard plumb the XP.

I want the overflows I just dont like that they stick out 5 inches at the back of the tank. I would prefer that they made a 90 deg turn right at the back of the tank so that they only stuck out less than an inch or two. On the other hand i want enough room at the back so I can run an AC110.

Well, you're going to need those 5" for the AC110 so you shouldn't have too much of a problem there. Just find some adapters and plumb the XP right up to it.
