Well, I'm not gonna get into specifics, but all the fish in my tank probably cost around 1000USD in total, which I think is cheap at the price.

I'll see what I can do about the vid...

is that $1000 before or after the super red. cause otherwise that one cheap asian aro. around here they go for like $1500 or so for a 10" or less fish.

No substrate = personal preference and easier maintenance (I have quite a healthy bioload)

Yeah ... it is. I've got two - one is around 4" and one around 5". According to the references I've read, they should get 12-14" in a tank ... bigger in the wild (18"). Mine have grown quite a bit since I got them and them always eat well and have nice tound bellies.

We'll just have to wait and see won't we!
