It IS invasive when it's in my house.
For the last two years I have had starlings nesting in my basement. They fly in through a hole in the wall and nest in the ceiling. Last year the chicks were slaughtered by the cats I had down there. Now the cats are gone and I really need to plug up that hole.
Back when I had a coal stove starlings would sometimes get into the house through that.
