Oh I know. I had heard of this guy from several other people and his fish are top notch. And he has a set-up that is to die for.

Im waiting for his e-mail back so I can go pick some up.

They are gonna look so good against the black substrate

Well thanks to everyone for the quick responses.

I have made my decision and found a breeder right down the road from my house. Its like it was meant to be.

Excellent choice - I was going to suggest some apistos

You might want to work with the breeder to get 2-3 females tho.

With further research I found out quite a bit about this breeder and the apistos. This guy has his s**t together. WOW!!!!!

I actually love black sand and use it in most of my tanks. I've just noticed cac's are one of the few cichlids that looks better over lighter sand. Most of the cac's over black I've seen turn a solid gray color in the body, but keep the bright orange fins.

get some dorsigas theyre like curviceps but alot more colorful same genus tho. i got 3 in a 55g with a crenicichla compersi. and a baby hrp. and 2 schools of different tetras, its all planted and has driftwood and some pots

I go pick up my pair of Apistogramma cacatuoides in the morning.

This guy is trying to get me to get rid of all my other cichlids and start breeding apistos lol.

I decided to completely redo my tank last night.
