just a quick update its been 42 days since I saw the male pearl mate with the female marble and all is great ive seen movement of pups inside her there must be at least 2 in there. So the waiting game goes on and I am super excited. I have had to section off the tank because the male pearl continued to harass her and was biting her allot and causing her quite allot of stress. how long do your marbles usually hold for?

Well on Tuesday morning i found 2 very healthy pups. Both are female i worked out it was 99 days the pregnancy. I will post some pics later ive just been super busy at the moment. I have been offering blood worms and chopped hikari carni pellets but i cant say ive seen them hammering it down yet im a bit concerned but unsure what else to try any input from the veterans about this would be greatly appreciated.

I thought finely chopped earthworms was the food of choice? But also don't expect them to eat for a couple of days.

Have you kept them with the mother?
Is the mother still seperated or back with the male?

hi Jim i will have a look at the sticky & i will try the chopped earth worms later. I left them with the mother till wed night then i moved them into a sectioned off part of the tank by them selves to try to monitor feeding's. the female went back in with the male pearl last knight and at first he tried it on then she gave him a good nip and he left her alone, but i'm sure he will try again.
