It's a beautiful male Jack Dempsey, about 5" long. I've got him in quarantine with dewormer for now. Pics already taken, waiting for wife to stop playing SIMS so I can upload them!

I thought so, especially considering the outgoing-ness and obvious robustness of the individual. I don't like JD's on the whole as a species (considering they are so common and inbred), but this one is neither cowardly, shy nor folded in half with a mile-long beak. Show me a fish that will shake my hand like that, and it's a sale!

I just end up in the right place at the right time a lot. I also have a lady who gives me free livebearers like endlers and mollies from her planted tanks. So I hook up my friends, too. I am still up to my neck in marbled crayfish! They pay for themselves in a hurry!
