In the the pet store
i found it hard to believe that my local asian grocery store sold clown knife's in thier seafood department! they were labled as spotted feather fish ! and you know wats wierd? there is a petstore just 3 stores down that sells knife fish as big as the ones i saw in the store! but yea...how do u guys feel?

There was a thread on here a while back where a guy showed a picture of a huge Knife fish cut in half and packaged like a pork chop at a supermarket.

Thats absolutely horable I'm a big knife fish fan and have owned them since about 6 years ago. This is unexceptable. It might be ok in Asian culture but NOT ours.

I keep Bluegill and don't mind that other people eat them. Hell, I've had my fair share of them. Fish is fish. If it's not ok to eat knife fish then don't eat fish at all.
I've heard of all kinds of things in seafood markets, for a whole lot cheaper than you can get them in a pet store, nab em up.

same with LMB, SMB, sturgeon, chanel catfish also peacock bass all food

ummm...they are FISH...humans EAT fish....so what about all the P Bass that get caught and thrown on the BBQ? Is that unacceptable as well?

It is OK in ALL cultures...not just Asian. Any fish that are not kept in an aquarium can be considered food in my eyes!

my .02 worth

Hey they even eat arowana, its just meat. They also sell talapia here, and I find it quite tasty. There is nothing wrong with eating fish, I think the Asian market though was trying to pull a fast one saying it was a marine fish.
