Maybe,it depends on how these fish are collected.There are at least two of these types of markets in my area and they both have tons of frozen freshwater fish in their seafood sections.I've seen giant goramy,all sorts of eels,and the knifefish and I'm almost willing to bet that these fish are not grown and bred for this purpose.I think that these fish are probably being overcollected just like a lot of the food fish in the ocean.These markets are in a lot of cities and I'm not even talking about store smaller stores in Chinatown but what are you gonna do,people have to eat.12 Volt Man;3522877; said:my asian market has silver dollars, knives, snakehead, all kinds of fish that we keep.
