Stores also sell tilapia and some native marine life that ive kept in captivity for hort amounts of tiime. And tilapia, as well as the marine life that ive kept (quahog clams and certain crabs) are very yummy.
 
I pulled some northern pike i caught this year out of the freezer.. and a slab of king salmon I caught as well... because of this thread... I had a taste for fish.. and my Oscar hasn't turned colors yet so he isn't on the menu atm ( yes I told my Oscar if he didn't stay awesome 'n pure white, he was going on the grill. )..

EDIT: And yes I will be sharing my salmon 'n pike w/ my fish! my Bichir's love baked/grilled fish! I'm a good mommy. =D

Yet 'our' culture eats cow, pork and fowl and the Asians are 10 times healthier with very low incidence of heart disease and obesity.
I'll take fish.

knifefish are a food fish! why would people pass up a common fish that reaches 3ft or so? it'd be like not eating large mouth bass, walleye, etc around here it just wouldn't make sense
 
those fishes are also sold here in the philippines local wet market as food. pretty abundant in the lakes.
 
Actually i'm most worried about the prazi-pro.. being I know in the horse industry horses wormed with certain wormers are a no no for human consumption.. which boggles my mind why we ship horsemeat to be eaten to other countries.. but anyways.. It's really a joke.. I couldn't eat my pet.. I can eat some random nameles fishy from the lake though =D And the chemicals in my tank?.. Amquel? uh.. and yeah Prazi-pro 2x to as a preventative against parasites in my fire eels. I'm sure my lake is waaay worse =D well I hope so or I need to do more WC's!

Yep more worried about where the fish came from then the type it is.. still can't condone eating endangered/threatened species though. And No Fugu (blowfish!) for me thnx!
