I think you've got something in between a Parrot and a Flowerhorn which I've been seeing lately labeled as Kirin's, mostly on aquabid. Which is incorrect labeling as far as I know. From my understanding A Kirin is a cross between BP's, Flowerhorns and Texas Cichlids. The BP for the production of the body, the FH for the red stomach, eyes and flower and the Texas for the spangling. As far as I know without the spangling it's not considered a Kirin, but a FH/BP. Though I whole heartedly admit I'm not an expert and it's just my opinion that I extrapolated from what I've read as far as their standards go.
 
Yeah yours are just unfaded Blood Parrots, sucks you got cheated.

Kirin Parrots are a Parrot x Flowerhorn mix, specifically when the fry comes out with the Blood Parrot shape and flowerhorn markings.

I got this one over two years ago, her name is Butters.

But like I said, niekomaster is in Texas she had her store order some recently so ask a local store to see if they can get them in. Or your could order some from Petzone SD, shipping wouldn't be too much.

Awesome Kirin's bro, makes me miss mine something fierce. Haven't had one 4 years now. This thread has inspired me though to go out and get some. I have a weakness for those balloon bellied BP's and Kirins. Though like I said I still like the Bonsai name which was the original name for them. I especially love the high red and orange I see in one of yours. In my opinion those are the most desirable. A Kirin with high spangling and the high orange/red undertones beneath.

Yea my other own looks like that but it's hiding. And I thought the black one was something different ohwell he only cost me $5
