I got yet another Silver Arowana for free missing one barbel and it is about 21". I really picked up 2 Silver Arowanas the other was 22" and it was dropped on the floor and got real beat up... It didn't survive:( . And now 3 Silver Arowanas now.

And I am hopefully picking up another this weekend.:headbang2

You need to get yourself a bigger tank.

Anyone in MN that wants a silver, we have one at the store, maybe 15-16", it's perfect. Need to find it a good home, he is cramped. Nice pickup, BTW.

Man you would love the almost 24" that is here where I am at. Someone turned it into the LFS. It is in bad shape though some dummy had it in other fish I think cichlids and tore it up pretty good on the fins and stuff. He said it is eating and has nice girth, the guy said he still wanted a hundred bucks for it though.
Do they really heal up good when beaten up and how long does it take? I am asking because you seem to know alittle but about rescueing large silvers.
I even think the eyes were kind of hazed over come to think about it.
