polypterus senegalus also called the senegal bichir grows to around 10'' but is said to grow to 12'' need a 40 gallon breeder or a 55 gallon

once you get it eating they aren't pickey and usually eat all sorts of stuff right know the best foods would be Bloodworms Shrimp cut up into small pieces also work on getting it to eat pellets if you can

It got hungry.... the baby sen I mean

it ate the poly??!! you sure!!? check around the tank, that frog doens't look like it ate it. I thought you were talking about it's broken-looking leg. I thought maybe the little sen grabbed a hold and broke it or something.

sorry to hear :(

maybe it did the houdini escape, the frog doesnt seem to be the culprit unless it has been missing for a few days.

I'm pretty sure, it might not look that fat in the pics, but he's underside is dark, and oddly lumpy.. I also hadn't fed them yet today...

His leg is just special lol he's name is Special Fred.

I keep my water level down 2 1/2" in his tank because of that, he was about 2 1/2".. so unless he's smarter than me(I wouldn't doubt it) I don't see how he could have gotten out.

The frog is only 1 1/2"

I had people telling me to keep a close eye on it when the sengal got bigger, because ACFs are part of their natural diet.
Thats why I find it slighly ironic.
