Ok so I've had this betta for a few days now. I introduced the female yesterday via plastic cup I bought them in. The female unfortunately got out. They've been swimming together and the male has been showing off but no fighting yet. It's just weird cause the female is already showing those vertical stripes that females show when they're ready to spawn. Idk why.

it sounds like you have a compatible pair

Already separated them. I just wanted to take some pics cause it looks cool. Im just surprised that the female is already dtf even without a bubble nest present.

He does have swag. That's why I chose him. He was lined up with 3 identical lookin males at the Lfs and he got my attention.
