I.D. these rays please

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Without seeing them in person it is hard to tell.

If they are retics, they have some of the nicest patterns I have ever seen. However, it is not hard to believe that a LFS got something in that they did not order.

Rays of this size are hard to ID for anyone (hobbyists, LFSs, wholesalers, importers, exporters, fishermen, etc.).

:iagree:

The fisherman in Peru -STILL- confuse the rays, even after I try to teach them.. After years of using certain common names, they usually will refuse to change, and that leads to mis-identification all the way down the line..

Hopefully we will get more pics soon..

here are some updated pics to look over, hope they help. One other question, the last picture is of a flower about 12" with a damaged tail. When she arrived there was a block on the tail to cover the spines which bent the tail to the point of tearing. We have been treating with maracyn plus and she is doing better. Will the tail repair itself over time or has anyone heard of doing a splint or something like that.

Thirst I thoughd Castexi Tigrello like till we see the last picture. This tail is deffenitly a Menchacai tail. Is this tail a pic of one of the other shown rays.
