Went to get two more labs and saw one without a dorsal stripe. When i got it home it had turned a orange/yellow. Now im not so sure its a yellow lab. he's showing a black tinge near the front of the dorsal fin. Possible hybrid?

Cant really tell from the pics but its more than likely a lab/ red zebra mix. They are becoming more common in the lfs's around here. We just got a shipment in of mbuna and two of the labs were hybrids so they went into the store tank.
I have three of those. The lfs labeled them "New Item - Yellow Zebras". They have the yellow with black trim of the Yellow Lab and the eyes of a Zebra. They had regular Yellow Labs in the tank next to them. After looking back and forth a few times, I went with the Yellow Zebras.

would have done some homework on ~new yellow zebra~ before believing what they say!....
I think also a hybrid, some sort of labido with saulosi/johanni cross. But its difficult to see on the photo.
