Ive dug up some OLD footage of me hand feeding my male dovii when he was about 7". This video is over 6 years old and is bad quality, but its also quite embarrassing as the dovii was in a small algae'd up tank at the time. The end of the clip shows him twice the size in a bigger tank, although still too small. The lfs sold me 3 of these wolf cichlids when they were 2" with no warning of potential size and when I was young and naive. This male killed the other two very early on, he was truly psychotic.
You can see how healthy he is though, and he was treated very well. He was like a friend, such a great personality. RIP Dave

I used to sort of hand feed my dovii/jag hybrid. I would hold a tetra jumbo pellet in the gap between the cover and the edge of the tank. Jag would jump and take it from me that way. No videos, he died last year, still miss him and his attitudes, not sure I miss being bitten whenever I tried to put a hand in the tank... Just part of the game with monster cichlids.
