Big difference in the Martin case and this story. This story some punk gets yelled at in front of his lady and pulls out his gun and shoots someone. The Martin case was about a man stalking a another man because of race and then killing that man. Forget all the hoopla and listen to the 911 tapes. "These" guys get away all the time was all you really need to hear to know what was in Zimmerman's mind.

It's a damn shame we as people can't get passed race and it's even worse that some of us use it for gain.

R.I.P to Trayvon Martin who didn't deserve to get gunned down and please close this thread.
 
In the 513 days between Trayvon dying, and the Zimmerman verdict, 11,106 African Americans were murdered by other African Americans. So, you know, something to think about as far as a racial discussion goes...

Including 2 by me. So why is this important? A few times a year a white missing child story blows up, should I point out how many other white children have gone missing? Maybe from the time of the Casey Anthony story blowing up until the time of her verdict or is the fact just as insignificant?
 
Pretty sure op was trying to point out reverse racism not sure it landed though. I'm a cracker and I think that Zimmerman should have gotten at least a manslaughter charge. Dude clicked into hero mode and should accept the consequences for better or worse. The world is full of idiots. We should have a global lottery and if your country's number gets pulled a nuke goes off.

Did you know that more then half our states have this law under several different names. The one consistent variable is you have the right to defend yourself without retreat. Some states vary by where it applies (your home or business) while others are wide open. Just throwing that out there
 
....and while we are on the subject,in some states with this law a person is allowed to fire upon a law enforcement officer if he feels his life is wrongly threatened.My state has this law but not the item mentioned above.
