i did a mistake

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As stated above, they can go for months without eating but in good water and starting from good health. One of my cats fasted 6 months before caving to eat dead foods. So, don't fret yet.

IMHO, we need to focus on water parameters. What's 0.02? What are the units? We need to know ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, pH, temperature at the very least. These need to be measured with a good, reliable test kit, not test strips but a reputable liquid test-tube kit. My guess, your water parameters are no good. They will never eat until they are right.

I would also get the clarias out of the tank immediately, as stated above.

Please do not eat the fish. Ornamental fish are not raised the same as food fish, even if they are the same species. They can be and are often treated with medications that CANNOT and MUST NOT be used on food fish. You will be risking your health.

If you make your water good (which is of UTMOST IMPORTANCE), they can last some time in your tank but keep up an intensive search for someone with an appropriate tank to take them off your hands. Where are you located? The country of Jordan in the Middle East?

I think your tank may be going through a mini cycle, as it was empty for four days some of your BB probably died off. If you can dose the tank with some prime to detoxify.

belive me the water is very clean i have 4 filters 2 sponge one upper filter and one external filter ... and i'm still searching for some dude to take them
and yes jordan is in Middle East

Live and learn from your mistakes, it just brings you alittle closer to being a better fish keeper down the road. We all make mistakes and half of them is not knowing it intill you try. Paroons are an awesome fish to keep, I don't blame you for wanting to try. Try looking up rubbermade tubs on line, I've seen some that are 500gs and up that arnt too expenceive and look up breeder tubs like what you see at fishfarms. I've even seen people get pools from Walmart and make them in to ponds. And with filtration look on YouTube how to make a cheep sump for large aquariums and ponds. Theirs lots of way to make this work just look around more and more out of the ordinary.

If your water is very clean why do you have .02 of ammonia and we are still waiting on the other water parameters.

Friend, this is not a matter of faith. Tell us your water parameters and how they were measured, please. Otherwise, we cannot even start providing the help you are so passionately pleading for. By not providing/getting this info, you shoot yourself in the foot. As it stands, we assume you don't know them. And if so, take your water to a good LFS and have them test it, as stated with a reputable test kit. Or buy the test kit like this: http://www.petsolutions.com/C/Aquarium-Test-Kits/I/Api-Freshwater-Master-Kit.aspx it is only $20 in the US.

The strong flow is needed for the high oxygen concentration in the water, which you looks like have. We need to see your bio-filtering works as it should.

You can connect 10 filters to your tank but if they are uncycled or you are doing something else wrong (like they are jammed with rotting food, etc.), it's of no use.

the tank is cycled but i have changed 70% of the water of the tank before put them there
and the 0.02 amonie is just i sample of a water i took it to fish store i don't know how they test it ithink they are just pretending ... the other parameters i can't get them ... we don't have a test kit in fishstores its just a third world country what do you expect ??!!

You ahave the internet and obviously think you can house giant catfish so just go to the link provided and order a test kit to come in the mail. You got these fish so dont use the third world country card out there. You have internet then you have the means to get a test kit. All the filtration in the world wont help these fish unless you know its working right. I honestly doubt you have enough filtration on that tiny tank for these massive fish. Best to remove the clarius as was told already. You come here wanting help but make every excuse you can find and dodge questions. Show us your filtration and get a test kit or we are helpless to help you. In the end if you do not find a new owner the fish are at great risk of dying eventually. I would like to see you learn and become a model fish keeper for others in your country but you have to give us something besides excuses first. I mean no disrespect but your info is dodgy at best. You cannot expect help if you think you are helpless.

"They are just pretending to test the water" .now that is just priceless and as far as I am concerned you have no business keeping fish. Denial will not fix your problems.
