MONSTER FISH MASTER;4344313; said:I dont know if you have seen, but I might have a Mono Orino pair. They fight like crazy, and I wanted to see how the monos acted. So, I will check out your videos. Did you remove all fish in the breeding tank? In my 150 I have the pair, a gold sev, gar, and a pleco. I also think the orino might be too young to breed yet. How old are your monos?
Well the crazy thing is (you will see from the videos) my male Purvian breeds with the female Mono and the Ocellaris female he goes back and forth every other spawn. The only cichlid i removed was my Cobra Pike I sold to PWMIN. I think he the Cobra was to much for them to keep in check but I have sectioned off the tank in the past but the eggs didn't make it from fungus. I think the big difference this time was I didn't do a water change this go around. My group of Cichla in this tank are three years old and they have been breeding for a little over a year consistantly. The key will be for you to get your routine and breeding skills down. Trust me when they start producing eggs you will have many times to hone your skill's. This is the first time I ever got Cichla to fry free swimming after about 17 spawns with the Mono male.
Also fighting also could mean Male Male, or Female Female. But give it some time if it's going to happen you will know.
