and second- strip the body, near totally or to the best of ability and add alot of carbon fiber and you can loose plenty of weight, nobody wants to sacrifice luxury for speed though.

I don't know too many people striping MKIV's that nice if they're not full out race cars. And most of the carbon you can buy for cars is wet carbon which is actually heavier than fiberglass.. dry carbon is lighter but it's 3-4 times the price of anything in wet..

i was refering to dry carbon, being the fact that if you have enough money to get an MKIV up to 1000hp+ as a track or other car, than you probably can spend the extra money on dry carbon. but i know plenty of people who don't use any type of CF, rather fiberglass do to the fact that it's 2-3X cheap than most CF's and less weight than wet. the guy who drives the 944 turbo i posted uses all fiberglass. my cars have never been full out track cars so i've never bothered with stripping the bodies, but you will get passed up on the track by way lighter cars with a tad less horse power, that's not rocket science. were your FD's mainly street driven BTW?

Awesome Supra, reminds of my buddy's that did 805 at the crank. The power these cars can produce is mind boggling! Gives me shivers to this day remembering what it felt like in that car!!!!

yeah street driven but my first one was stripped of anything rear of the seats.. I kept door panels/carpet/dash cause well it's a street car but ditched storage bins and trunk stuff.. I also ditched the air pump/ps/ac but that was minor stripping by all standards..

I don't know of many places that make any parts out of dry because of cost/market. It's almost unheard of. Glad you knew there was a difference, just wanted to make sure you knew.. I personally hate the look of too much carbon on a car and most of it that's sold is just for looks because people think carbon is lighter.. but as far as wet it's not.. <-- that was my only point..

hard to find, but i've seen it done, mainly with smaller splitters and less complex stuff. i don't like the look myself to much ethier.
