the 2000gph pump connected to 1'' tube to a ball valve connected to a "L" connector, connected to a piece of 1'' tube. the water is pouring into a cotton basket, then the water flows through a sponge, then to fine padding, and at the bottom i set up a egg create that is held up with 4x pieces of 3'' pvc pipe....and the carbon is filling that gap.
P.S. I KNOW the cotton is dirty....

i know right!!! hoping they hit 24'' in the first year.....so the wife will let me build the 5000gal.
lol wife let you build the 5000, i just recently got my wife to let me do a 1200 in the basement. congrats on the nice build. like the filter set up, i have similar on my 500 and its going on the 1200. got my 1500 gph utility pump at menards for $45 might add a second when i bump up the pond volume dunno yet.
