I was out at the fishing hole with my buddy and a girl from the nearby apartments wanted to fish with us. I gave her one of my cheap poles (a four section Ugly Stick). While I was walking the bank, she snagged it on the bottom. While trying to free it, she over stressed the pole and split the joint between the middle sections.
That was last month. I tossed the pole in the trash...so I thought. I just found the broken section of the Ugly Stick in my rod rack on a Daiwa pole.
I threw away the good tip end of the Daiwa and the butt end of the Ugly Stick. I hate sectioned poles.
