I have moved up to the Penn Powergraph.(reddish colored rod).

That's a sweet snook. Where did you catch it? That's a nice looking rod too. Bass Pro has an orage one called a Carrot Stick. It's made with carrot fibers. I guess if you don't catch any fish, you can always eat your fishing pole. :grinno:

Ugly stick is supposed to be unbreakable. Warranty.
Hmmm...I'll look into that. Thanks. (It was a nice back packing pole.)

I like it when girls are rough when they handle my rod. :naughty:

Yeah, Uglystick come with a warranty. Why I love them. I really like their ultralights.

5 Year Warranty

Limited Warranty I:
For 60 days from the date of purchase, the Shakespeare Company will replace or refund the purchase price of your Ugly Stik Series rod if you are not totally delighted with the way it feels, handles, and fishes.

Limited Warranty II:
For five (5) years from the date of purchase, the Shakespeare Company will replace your Ugly Stik Series rod if it breaks, snaps, or cracks while you are fishing.

This warranty does not cover damage by addition to or alteration of the product, accident, abuse, or normal wear. This warranty does not extend to products which are put to commercial or rental use.

Shakespeare will have no other obligation and will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages.

Shakespeare makes no implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS for any period beyond the five year duration of this limited warranty. Some state laws do not allow exclusion of incidental or consequential damages or limitation of the duration of implied warranties, so the above exclusions might not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

Thanks for that. It's around 6-7 years old. I've been looking at "upgrading the warranty" but apparently they don't make the four sectioned pole/kit anymore.

edit: they do, but aren't sold local in the padded kit. They now come in a plastic tube. Gives me ideas though.

Moral of the story is: Never let a strange girl Handle your pole. She'll break it yanking on it.
