When zoos say "Amazonion", they usually mean Amazon rainforest and related Amazon basin drainage. It opens them up to display all fish from the region instead of just the fish found in the main river.

What region of South America are those Amphilophus citrinellus from?

they can get bigger then that, seen them past three feet.. and all those are not amazonion fish...... the cichlids they show are ca/sa... peacock bass south american......

Those pacu are probibly a little over avrage in size... But they can esily get 2 feet in length and sometuimes 30 inches...
