After all the hardwork I did, then my VATF suddenly died. You know why??? He got eaten by my bichirs. I'm angry because...
1. He's my most favorite fish.
2. I even ran to go to the lfs to get it during my exam.
3. I'm just a student who uses allowances that I saved up for a month.
4. I thought my bichirs are friendly but they aren't.

This stinks man, you had an awesome fish. Part of the hobby though is gambling. Almost any time you buy a fish, you are making a gamble. Unfortunately even when we know as much as we do, work hard, and do everything "right" - sometimes we still loose the gamble.

Im sorry, and hope that you have better luck with your next fish. These guys are truly awesome.

Sorry to hear that. I just tossed my last 2 Armatus this morning myself. Every other tankmate is fine but the Armatus still died... Had 7, about 5 months later 0. It happens bro

I feel the pain sir, I have lost pretty expensive fish over the few years ive been in the hobby, breeder discus, arowanas, colonys of tropheus. It sucks.

Sorry dude. The first ATF I got jumped out the first night I had it. It was like taking a Benjamin and throwing it out the car window.

My second 4" ATF got eaten by a 6" Payara.

I've had my bad experiences with Bichirs as well. Just because they have a smiley face doesn't mean they're not killers.

My rule of thumb is always can it fit in the other fishes mouth? If it's too big to eat then it's fine. In the case of Arowanas and Payaras they have really big mouths.....
