A six inch aro looks a bit silly alone in a 150g tank. If I were to KNOW that I could upgrade as needed what is wrong with starting it in a 35g?
As for not having bigger tanks even if you can afford them sometimes youjust run out of room or prefer 150g tanks to 350s. At one time I lived in a three bedroom aptartment and finally just had to stop buying tanks when my roommates got mutinous after I started adding tanks into their rooms. The tanks ranged from little 5 and 10Gs in the bathrooms to a 150g in the living room. There were literally tanks in every room including the kitchen (20g and 29g} and hallways (35g longs), also on the patio an front stoop. Sometimes 55g wides are a lot more versatile then the big boys. I still want an 8'x8'x24' tank though.
