can you post any quality pictures of your setup? If we can see what you are dealing with, we may be able to better help you.
In the years past I noticed much the same problem. I decided to add a fluidized bed filter FB600. This added "back-up" filtering power to my system to alleviate those moments my wife would feed for me and "lovingly" overfeed. The additional volume of bacteria in this filter, imo, has saved my system more then once.

ill try and get pic by tomorow. but about an hour after i put the 2 air stones in the rays are up and moving again. I just put some food in and the female pounced on my hand and then looked frightened, so idn what that ment but hopfully she eats the reast of her food ill get some pics tomorow.
