Its alright. We probably all started out with them.
 
Okay, the Ellie May Clampat in me fired up and inspired me to go to wal-mart to look for one of the API water tests. (With little hope of success) But behold! They had one for pH levels, so I bought that. Came home, and the test said the pH was 6.6.
Should I treat the water, even with suspicions it may be poisoning?
 
Water changes and in this case some peas.

Do a lot of water changes, and add some shelled peas in there.



On a separate note: cory cats are schooling tropical fish, they need heated water and a school. Goldfish are a temperate/ coldwater fish. I wouldn't consider the two compatible.

What is the temp of this tank?
 
Hello again, sorry for the delay, but my internet has been down for quite a number of days. Anywho, I've never really encountered any real problems between the combination. Sadly, I inheirited this Cory from a friend who was going to flush him. And I just couldnt bear that to happen. I wasnt aware that they were tropical, or even schooling fish! The temperature the tank stays at is about 76 degrees.

On a lighter note, whatever was wrong with my fish has cleared up and they are looking lively as ever! Much thanks to everyone who contributed to this very happy ending. :]
