Man I did this when I saw some damaged walmart bps... I bought em and now they are all happy ,healed and throw my whole aquarium off wack. As for supporting cruelty, the fish is already been abused, if you can give it a home then do so. I do not support how these fish are treated but I wouldn't let one suffer because I thought it was a rookie fish. I love my little parrots.... even if they orange puffs in a ancient fish themed tank. Do it, you wont regret it.

BTW sweet gar. I keep my BP with my gar and its a weird combo but they get along.

as requested............ in all their glory!
I love with the lack of tail it appears as though they have cute little butts...

I dont think they should cut any part of any fish just to call it some thing is was ment to be called.

as for buying I would not buy one ever but I was givin one by some one that wanted to let it go. so I took it and knowing the fish is a female.. so I'am going to breed her with my silver KOK KML

I'd like to say, "to each his own" but I draw my line before these guys. If you truly can give it a good home, then take I suppose.

Give it a home and let the owners know bout that aint right to support that type of stuff even if you make money or not thats messed up. I heard of them dyin the blood parrot diff colors but cutting the tails off gees whats next.

this is a difficult situation, i saw an rtc that...well there was hardly any of it left, fins were torn to shreds, horrendous gill rot and covered in parasites.
i wanted to get it just so i could make it better and healthy but knew i would have to sell it after as i didnt have the room at the time to get a big enough tank for him when he was grown.
i didnt get him a) because i couldnt keep him but mainly b) because i was supporting the disgusting shop he came from that thought it was fine to let his fish get in that state and still sell them..not even quarentine and try to fix them up.

personally i wouldnt do, but think of all aspects and then see how u feel :-)

I agree. Anybody who buys a heart shaped parrot is supporting the practice of selling them. Some people just don't have any morals. If you want to do the fish a real favor steal it. Maybe the store will learn a lesson.

buying those types of fish is supporting and encouraging that type of cruel act. Not natural and is a retarded taste some ppl have. Let the retards buy them.

cruelty is wrong and so is stealing. That wont help with anything at all. After you steal it, they'll probably think oh that type of fish is so cool that someone want it so bad they stole it.. Then they bring in more and more fishes get cut up. Same thing with buying them.

Those are considered rookie keeper's fish. Because they dont kno better

I completely agree, its really sad to see something like those. They shouldn't be allowed to do that.
