I saw about a 10 to 12 inch silver arrowana at my lfs today and it was in a 10 gallon tank! i wanted to get it so bad but my biggest tank is 60 gallons. it was 80 dollars and i wanted to save it from that little tank but i couldnt. it is at the petsupermarket in cary, nc next to harris teeter if anyone that lives near here wants it.

60g is better than 10g :D

Not for long, and if he does not happen to have the means to upgrade, then what? Just leave the aro and hopefully a responsable keeper will purchase it.

On the flip side, what if nobody buys it?

Then again I was just messing with the OP.

But not if the OP had bought it and housed it in a slightly bigger tank, right?

Smile!!!

Wow your under the impression that a silver arowana can live out a full and healthy life in a 60 gallon tank, research much?

It's not a rescue if ya can't properly provide for the fish.

Exactly. Its like a homeless guy taking in a stray dog.

Further note my lfs has had a 30" or so silver aro in a 40 long for at least 3 years now. There are fish far worse off than a 10" in a 10 gallon.
