So I got my red islates from rapps yesterday and all was well in my tank minus a lil chasing here and there. Now take into account that I have a 15 lungfish in my tank and he hasn't caused a problem at all. I get a call from my wife telling me the lungfish attacked ur new fish. I said how bad is it? She doesn't really know so I have to wait a 2 hours before I get home to see it. She took the fish out cuz the lung was stalking it. The lung has only gone after the red and shares a tank with some quarter sized fish. I get home to the pic shown below. You can see the throat but that seems fine. He thrashes when startled still and seems to be breathing without trouble so far. Is there anyway he will make it or is it a losing battle. The lungfish is already gone back to my friends store. You have no idea how pissed I am at the moment.uploadfromtaptalk1336244970449.jpg

I've divided him in the tank and already added salt. I don't like using chemicals tho because I've had fish die after adding them. I'm gonna do a water change Sunday and add more salt over the next few days. I was selling all my fish to dedicate this tank this guy too

Normally I wouldn't get so mad over a fish I've had only a day but I've wanted this speices of fish for about 2 years now and finally broke down and got one. Next to my grammodes and my dream fish the umbee I have an attraction to this fish

It depends how much its lungs were damaged. Note that it might cause brain damage which might make it difficult to put with other fish.

Its gonna be a waiting game. I can't see much without netting him and I don't wanna stress him anymore
