I just got home from a LFS buying Hikari cichlid gold and when I was there a man and his girlfriend were buying fish. Of course they had no idea about anything in the tanks and didn't even know how to take care of a fish. They wanted cichlids and a guy there was trying to explain to them that cichlids are aggressive and how to take care of them and stuff like that but they were completely ignoring him. He was the manager there. Anyways at the store they all know me very well and while I was at the register the manager and a co-worker were talking about the idiots and how they won't listen. So the co-worker goes to the manager well send this guy over there and he'll teach them everything there is to know about any fish including all the cichlids we have. He gave me a compliment and feel satisfied :D . It's always nice to get noticed for your knowledge. Just thought I would share.:) Anybody else here get compliments all the time like me?

well i work at my LFS..... so when someone has ANY questions at all about SA/CA/African Cichlids, and anything Freshwater they are always directed to me so i feel sort of special, and it makes me feel like im actually wanted at the store :D

Congratulations ya'll, all the hard work is paying off.

Now don't let it go to your heads ;).

My LFS's are afraid I might ask a question :D.

I am very well known in my area, and am often asked questions. I now work at a LFS as well, one of many that I have worked for, and haven't found any questions from our customers that I couldn't answer easily.

...at least that is what the doctor told my mom when I was born.

...now I realize that he meant that I am just a retard

Telling people at the LFS is o.k. but when you have neighbors with say a 1500 gallon pond, built, and managed by her ex husband (who is not around anymore). Letting it slip that you could save their fish, soon turns into a "free" job, that sucks ass! I wish I had the guts to tell her to do it herself. But then all her fish would die. She is a rock and will NEVER get it.....
