but in the past the biggest tank I've had is a 30g, so I just used buckets to fill it up. But I'm not using buckets to fill a 55/75g tank.

I've heard about this python thing, and I was wondering, what is it and how does it work? Can I just get it at my LFS or at petSmart?

your LFS should have them in stock. most places do.

They are great. One end hooks to your sink and has a setting that either creates suction through water flow for siphoning the tank, and another to refill the tank. No buckets, no mess.

its so much easier but kind of expensive.

go to your local hard ware store, try to find a adapter for your shower or sink and use a garden hose.

mine doesnt fit on my sink, so i just siphon into my lawn and fill up with the hose from outside
