I think it's true that once the discus bug gets under your skin it soon gets into your blood.
I've been hopelessly addicted to discus for 40 years.
The only time I had to go without some discus was when I was raising a family, pursuing my career and became a house poor homeowner all at once. Somethings had to give aand for awhile discus were among those thing but just like riding a bicycle I got back on board with discus as soon as I was able.
Now that I'm retired I have been able to resume discus keeping and breeding and to pursue a life long dream of someday breeding and raising some wild caught Heckel Discus.
I have 9 in this tank....I wouldn't keep just two! I also have seven others in another tank...And yes, they are very addictive. But admitting that I have a problem is a step in the right direction, now I just need a bigger tank so I can get some more!
