Really? Congos get 4" and Leopard Ctenopomas get to 6" max...would they still eat them? That's the first I've heard of that. If that's really true could try a smaller Ctenopoma (I think ocellatus is one...) then :)

You could also put in an African Knife or possibly a mormyrid like a baby whale.

It is more body shape than length, the ctenopomas are ambush feeders with deep bodies and big mouths, the congos are narrower and a 4" congo is a large one, most are a bit smaller. Even a 4" one will only mass about a 1/4 or less of what a 6" ctenopoma does, it won't happen often but given the chance the ctenopoma will eat fish the size of congos.
