Thanks guys. Unfortunately I have not seen him in a few days. I hate to think the worst but there is not really any places to hide in the tank. I find it hard to believe that somebody in that tank can pick off a 12" gar but who knows. I am moving the fish on sunday to put a liner in the tank to protect from zinc leaching so I will update on whether or not I find him. He could just be cowardly hiding under a piece of driftwood but that is highly unlikely with gars.

lol seems so. I picked up two 14" florida gar recently but stuck them in the 300 for growout for now.
